Council for Responsible Nutrition Applauds Amicus Support in First Amendment Lawsuit

JULY 11, 2024 – CRN extends its gratitude to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and three other national associations for their strong support in CRN’s ongoing legal battle to protect First Amendment rights. The four organizations filed an amicus (“friend of the court”) brief today in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, supporting CRN's challenge against New York’s General Business Law § 391-oo, which restricts the sale of certain dietary supplements based on their labeling and marketing.

Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) Challenges Preliminary Injunction Decision in New York Age-Restriction Lawsuit

JULY 8, 2024 – CRN announced that it has filed its appellate brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit challenging a New York federal district court’s denial of CRN’s request for a preliminary injunction in its lawsuit against the recent New York State law that imposes age restrictions on the sale of certain dietary supplements.
