CRN Announces Four Staff Promotions

Washington, D.C., January 19, 2016—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, today announced four staff promotions within the organization. These promotions reflect these individuals’ valuable contributions to help ensure that CRN advances its initiatives on behalf of its member companies. 

CRN’s staff promotions are as follows:

 

Rend Al-Mondhiry to Associate General Counsel 
Ms. Al-Mondhiry joined CRN in 2011 as Regulatory Counsel. She provides legal counsel and advice to CRN’s staff and members in areas of legislation, regulatory compliance and advocacy, and international policy development with respect to dietary supplements and nutrition issues. 

Sandra Khouri to Vice President, Finance & Administration 
Ms. Khouri came to CRN in 2011 as Director, Operations and was promoted to Senior Director, Finance & Administration in 2014. She is responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of CRN’s finance, human resources, and operational functions.

Carl Hyland to Senior Director, Membership Development 
Mr. Hyland joined CRN in 2011 as Director, Membership Development. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of membership services and new member recruitment.

Haiuyen Nguyen to Director, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs 
Ms. Nguyen started at CRN as Research Assistant, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs in 2007 and was promoted to Research Manager, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs in 2010, Senior Manager, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs in 2012, and Associate Director, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs in 2013. She manages the development of scientific and regulatory databases, executes logistics for CRN-sponsored scientific symposia, and serves as a resource for CRN members and staff on the current status of regulations and proposals.
