Washington, D.C., September 24, 2015—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, today announced that James M. Greenblatt, M.D., will be the featured presenter during a free webinar for pharmacists and nurse practitioners (NPs) on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. Eastern. The webinar is presented exclusively to members of Skipta’s Pharmacist Society and Generation NP communities. Skipta is the leading network of specialized online medical communities for verified health care professionals.
During this one-hour webinar, “The Role of Dietary Supplements in Maintaining Cognitive Health and Mental Hygiene,” Dr. Greenblatt will discuss how health care practitioners can consider integrating dietary supplements into their practices for helping patients with general anxiety, mild depression, and general mood support for healthy people.
Dr. Greenblatt currently serves as the chief medical officer at Walden Behavioral Care in Waltham, Massachusetts, and as an assistant clinical professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a pioneer in the field of integrative medicine who has treated patients with complex behavioral and mood disorders since 1990, contributing to the revolution of consumers seeking “personalized medicine.”
The webinar is part of a series of ongoing webinars presented by CRN through Skipta’s Pharmacist Society and Generation NP communities. “Based on our past webinars and engagement in Skipta’s online communities, we know that pharmacists and nurse practitioners are interested in science-based information about dietary supplements,” said Judy Blatman, senior vice president, communications, CRN. “We’re fortunate to have the opportunity to connect pharmacists and nurse practitioners to the valuable insights Dr. Greenblatt can provide.”
