Four Companies Join CRN’s Membership Roster

Washington, D.C., September 27, 2018—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, today announced the addition of four new companies to the association’s membership roster. The four new voting members include — Care/of; Neves Global Resources, LLC; Quincy Bioscience; and Ritual. 

Care/of 

Care/of is a fast-growing, venture-backed wellness start-up offering personalized daily vitamin packs. The company’s technology makes it possible for people to get custom vitamin recommendations based on their diets and health goals, which are delivered in daily packs. Care/of aims to help people feel empowered to make the right choices for their health by being transparent about the research supporting recommendations and the quality of their products. The company launched in 2016 and is based in New York City. 

Neves Global Resources, LLC

Neves Global LLC is a distributor of an extensive line of chemical raw materials into many industries, and a contract manufacturer of nutritional powders and nutrition capsules. The company works with industry experts, ingredient suppliers, and their customers’ brands to manufacture powdered nutritional supplements and botanical blends. Neves’ newly constructed powder suite is climate controlled and air filtered, adhering to strict good-manufacturing procedures and high quality control standards. The company’s high-speed semi-automatic capsule filler, the Capsugel Ultra III offers advanced technology and components to ensure cleanliness and protect the products’ integrity. Later this Fall, Neves will also open a retail store, Neves Nutrition, where the company will showcase brands they manufacture for and intend to reach out to new brands as well. 

Quincy Bioscience

Quincy Bioscience is a biotechnology company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel technologies and products that focus on supporting memory and cognitive health. Prevagen, the company’s flagship product, is a dietary supplement that has been clinically shown to help with mild memory problems associated with aging. The main ingredient in Prevagen, apoaequorin, was originally found in jellyfish and has been clinically shown to be safe and improve memory and support brain function. 

Ritual

Ritual is a health brand that believes in simplicity, traceability, and ingredients that work best in the body. The company's debut product, Essential for Women is a reimagined multivitamin for women. The vitamin focuses on the 9 essential nutrients they believe are foundational for women’s health, editing out many of the nutrients in a typical multivitamin that they believe most American women are already getting enough of. Ritual is also vegan, allergen & gluten-free, dairy-free, GMO-free, and manufactured in the USA. The vitamins use “beadlet-in-oil” technology that allows them to keep nutrients in their original forms and closer to what is found in food.
